Nestled Among the Live Oaks...

After a long and very trying journey south, we have finally arrived at our winter resting place in Silver Springs, Florida. We are occupying site F-10 at the Silver Springs RV Resort. This is a adult 55+ community just outside of Ocala. The 199 sites are a mixture of permanent park models and rolling RVs. Our plan is to stay here until April.

My first observation of the Ocala area is that this seems like a big city. After living in a town of 4,000, coming to a city of over 60,000 is almost culture shock. It will take some time to learn our way around town, but in the mean time a combination of Maps app and the car's GPS has helped find things. While we get settled in, enjoy some photos of our site and the wonderful live oak tree. The last photo is looking straight up through the canopy.
